Hi!

After returning from a 2 weeks´ holiday in Egypt, I´m wearing the N19, I once bought from the Pimpclinic, sited in the Franken-part of Germany.

I love this watch with the blue crystals at 12, 6, 9, the design of the hands and the very special NSA.
Have a nice weekend!

That's a nice one Mike. I'm always a sucker for rectangular crystals on dials. I'm wearing this:

Peter's flat crystal Diastar 2. Fortunately it has the smaller, rounder, nicer crystals on the dial. I know Ken had at least one Diastar "0" with a DS 2 style case and flat crystal. This is definitely a DS2, the spring bars do not fit into the TC, but I wonder if this is not another instance of Rado using up back stock of the flat sapphire before using the more familiar faceted DS 2 crystal. Either that, or a retro-fit. Either way I really like the thinness of this watch. I always assumed it would be much thicker.

Looks great! A round DS is also still on my list.
Is it thinner than an oval DS?
Smaller crystals on the dial? No, you have the larger ones. Two pics for compare:

Both pics still made with my old compact camera, years ago, so not even best quality. But you can compare the size of the crystals with the size of the moving anchor.

Im still with my new certina electrosonic, this one will stay on my wrist for some more days!
B. T. W. I also got a DS 2 without ref nr.and flat crystal. It shows the unique ss/ds case construction. Im not wearing it very often but i can post some pics if you are interested, henry!

Hi Mike- I can't find any pictures of it right now but I could swear my old DS 8 had bigger square crystals. I hated it. I thought you couldn't see the dial for the markers and I don't get that impression with this one. I don't think the DS 2 is significantly thinner, I haven't measured them yet , than a regular DS but because the slop is so much gentler on the TC it seems thinner. Coupled with the flat crystal, which is thinner, the whole watch has quite a sleek feel to it. I like it much more than I thought I would.

Hi Henry!

Maybe there are crystal markers being even larger. Or s.o. mounted the crystals from a Silver Star.
My DS on the pic is an 8/1 with AS 1858.

That is a possibility. That is about the right size of crystal.

Yes, the chicken - seems to have been a bit hot for it.
Nice Spacewing! I have one with the older case design:
